Knowing that one of Cameo's favorite things is putting up the Christmas tree, I decided that it would be the perfect opportunity to propose. One of our traditions is to purchase an ornament each year as a couple that is symbolic of something special that occurred during the year. I had planned to wait until after Thanksgiving to propose. Of course, once I had the ring in hand, I couldn't wait any longer so I suggested we put up the tree early this year, knowing Cameo would enthusiastically agree.

We made a big event of the "Tree Day", as we do every year, by preparing our favorite holiday foods and playing Christmas music.

Upon finishing decorating the tree, I asked Cameo to stand by the tree because I had one more ornament to put on the tree, representing the past year. I had purchased 2 engagement ring ornaments and joined them together with a ribbon. When I came back with the ornament in hand, it didn't take long for Cameo to realize what was happening. After proposing, I moved my hand and her ring slid down the ribbon on the ornament.

As you're already aware...SHE SAID YES! In that moment, I knew I would be spending my life with my very best friend.
